Gusty winds giving way to sunshine
-- The gusty winds of last night and early this morning are ushering in a sunny day in the Richmond area.
The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies today with a high near 49 degrees and west winds between 11 and 16 mph. That's a significant drop from last night and overnight, when gusts were in the range of 40 mph.
Tonight should be mostly clear with a low around 26 degrees before there is more sunshine tomorrow with a high near 45 degrees.
Showers could return Saturday.
