UPDATE: Police seek man in Petersburg slayings
PETERSBURG POLICE DEPT.
Terrence Jamar Coleman, 23, in connection with the deaths today of two Petersburg women
Petersburg police continue their search this morning for Terrence Jamar Coleman, 23, in the deaths of two Petersburg women.
Police found Glenatta “Onique” Conaway, 34, fatally injured in an upstairs room of a boarding house in the 900 block of West Wythe Street about 4:30 Saturday afternoon. Another woman, Adrian Rawlings, 32, died after being taken to Southside Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. Both women appear to have been shot, police said.
Police said it’s is likely the two women knew Coleman.
“Apparently, there’s been a relationship between the suspect and Ms. Conaway, so that the fact she and Ms. Rawlings were friends, they would both be familiar with him,” Maj. William C. Rohde said this morning.
Rohde also said the two women lived in separate rooms in the boarding house.
Coleman is last known to have lived on Arlington Street in Petersburg. Warrants have been issued for murder, use of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on Coleman’s whereabouts is asked to call Petersburg police at (804) 732-4222 or Petersburg-Dinwiddie Crimesolvers at (804) 861-1212.
