Henrico prostitution sting nets eight arrests
Henrico County police have arrested eight people in an undercover sting operation targeting escort-service operators who provide women for prostitution.
Police said they conducted the operation Wednesday from a room at an undisclosed hotel near Richmond International Airport.
"They were not involved, and had no knowledge that this was taking place," Henrico police spokesman Doug Perry said of the hotel operators. "We chose that [location] because it was convenient for us."
Perry said an investigator, posing as a customer, used a room at the hotel to call various escort services advertised on Craigslist.com and similar businesses listed in the phone book. The investigator would inquire about private dances or massages and arrange a meeting with one of the escorts.
Once the woman arrived, the investigator would negotiate a price for a specific sexual encounter, and she would be arrested after agreeing to perform the service for money, Perry said.
Five women and three men were arrested on various charges, including prostitution, conspiracy to commit prostitution, conducting an unlawful massage and possession of cocaine and heroin.
The men who accompanied the women drove them to the hotel and served as their protector "to make sure they're not getting robbed or harmed," Perry said.
Seven of the eight arrested listed addresses in Richmond or Chesterfield County. The eighth listed her address as Wyandanch, N.Y.

As one Of the Women arrested I have to say that The Henrico Police Department are not acting Morally by using forceful entrapment. My advertisment was for Massage. The officer took all of his clothes off and placed my hands on him. He was rubbing my legs and allowing me to massage him nude. Then there was a knock at the door. Four more officers walked in and asked me for my massage license number and certificate. When I did not have my certification on me they arrested me and charged me with “Massage without a license” as well as “Solicitation of Prostitution” when I never discussed any sexual acts with him. The worst part about it was 3 of the 4 officers went on to degrade me and call me awful names. I had my clothes on the entire time, it was the officer who was naked. Then I was given a $3000 secured bond and had to sit in a filthy cell all night.
So my question is this. What is the difference between a Man getting naked, touching a women’s leg, obviously getting excited and and attempting numerous times to hint at wanting sexual favors and a fully clothed woman woman massaging that man. Which one do you think should be legal. They also dress Women officers up as prostitutes and have them approach men. Obviously a Woman officer is going to be more attractive than the average prostitute. THIS IS ENTRAPMENT and should be a violation of the law. It would be different if I had been walking down West Broad Street in a mini skirt and I had approached a officer and said I will **** you for $$$. But they called my massage ad, and they touched me, and they got naked. I will be fighting this and going public with it. If you want to join me e-mail me at
I agree in principal that there would seem to be bigger fish to fry, and the RTD story is incomplete. They not only busted the females, they also busted the guys who were with them, who had drugs and violent crime charges.
So in reality, it is a good idea to do this because it cuts off a source of income for people who commit worse crimes.
Also, if you do a little research, you’ll find out that prostitution is not a victimless crime, the prostitute is usually a victim. They are most often doing this stuff because they are abused, or kept strung out on drugs and kept in line by violence.
Being in jail would actually be a good thing for these folks, if we had better drug abuse and sexual abuse treatment programs.
I agree. We should be thankful they’re not hanging around street corners anymore.
Consenting adults! I agree this type of behavior should not be paraded around in public but sex between consenting adults behind closed doors is not any of my business and certainly should not be our governments business!
