Man with prior conviction in Chesterfield is accused of having wife raped

A North Carolina man charged this week with arranging on Craigslist for his wife to be raped by another man pleaded guilty in Chesterfield County last year to flashing a pizza delivery woman at a Chester-area hotel.

The man, 25, was given a 30-day suspended jail term on his conviction of misdemeanor indecent exposure at a motel in the 1900 block of West Hundred Road, court records show. The Richmond Times-Dispatch is not identifying the man to avoid identifying his wife.

On Wednesday, Kannapolis, N.C., police arrested the man on one count of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sexual offense and attempted first-degree sexual offense.

He is accused of arranging for a man he found on Craigslist to rape his wife during the early morning hours of May 31, according to Kannapolis police.

The husband was in the bedroom during the attack, police said.

Two small children also were inside the home but were unharmed and unaware of what happened, police said.

Investigators became suspicious because there were no signs of forced entry at the house.

On Tuesday, investigators discovered the husband had responded to at least two personal ads on Craigslist "in an effort to arrange for someone to come to his house and have sex with his wife using some type of scare tactic," police said in a statement.

Police said they have strong leads in identifying the attacker but declined to disclose more details. The husband, meanwhile, is being held on $200,000 bond pending a court hearing June 30. Kannapolis is about 25 miles northeast of Charlotte.

This guy should be handed over to the wife’s father for about 10 minutes. Justice would no doubt be served.

This guy is not only depraved, he must be flat out stupid!  He advertised for this on Craig’s List and never stopped to think that he might get caught by putting this ad out there for the world to see!  But I guess someone with a sick mind like this pathetic excuse for a human being, either doesn’t take the time to think about that “minor” detail, or they are too arrogant to care about it!  What a slime bucket!
