Chesterfield man charged again with raping woman while posing as police officer

A Chesterfield County man charged earlier this month with raping a woman while posing as a police officer in Henrico County was arrested Saturday on nearly identical charges in Chesterfield, authorities confirmed today.

Johnny Eugene Quick, 44, of the 5100 block of Gention Road, was charged with rape, abduction and impersonating a police officer in connection with an incident Sept. 1, court records show. Quick is accused of picking up a prostitute in the 8900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway after identifying himself as a police officer and then raping her, police said.

The victim apparently came forward after publicity about Quick's Nov. 7 arrest in Henrico.

In that case, police said the victim accepted a ride from Quick, who told her he was a police officer. Quick, who was not wearing a uniform, then drove the woman a few blocks into Henrico from the Chamberlayne Avenue area of North Richmond and raped the woman before releasing her, according to police.

Quick, who works as a mechanic, was served with the Chesterfield warrants Saturday in Henrico Jail, where he was being held on the earlier charges. He is set to appear Jan. 21 in Chesterfield General District Court.

In October 2001, Quick was arrested on similar charges in Richmond, including rape, abduction with the intent to defile, robbery and two counts of impersonating a police officer. But the charges were withdrawn by prosecutors in November 2002, according to court records. It was not immediately clear why that case was dropped.

He pleaded guilty to a stalking charge in Richmond in June of 2002 and was sentenced to 12 months in jail with six months suspended. That offense occurred in October 2001, court records show.

I wonder if a drug dealer can report that he or she was robbed while selling drugs? A crime was committed while the victim was involved in an unlawful act.

No, how is that ironic?  One crime is victimless, one is not.

Buying drugs is victimless, but it’s still a crime, so you don’t have an argument here.

Again, let me be clear, I don’t think this cop should go free.  He should be thrown in jail for what he did.

I’m just commenting on the irony of a prostitute being raped and filing charges for it, when the rape happened as a result of her (illegal) job: selling sex for money.  I know the truth is ugly and you guys don’t want to hear it but she is just as much a criminal and should be charged with prostitution.  Last time I checked, that was against the law.

It is obvious that he thought since she was a prostitute that- 1)she was not going to report it 2)If she did no one would believe her 3)By telling her he was a policeman- she thought she would get arrested and they would not do anything to him. Also- that she would not check to find out if he really was a police officer. Like any other criminal- they usually continue to do this- and he had already did this. Who knows how many times without getting caught. Just the fact that IMPERSONATING an officer should get a lot of time in jail. That is the part that I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why it is not taken more seriously! If you are a REAL undercover cop -how is someone suppose to know for sure? and if you refuse to comply to whatever he says- you get arrested? Fake badges, blue lights, or whatever equipment can be bought. They do not let you get on your cell phone to check them out- I doubt. That is why I say it is the ULTIMATE BETRAYAL for women. She was easier to lure into the situation because of her profession- but he probably has tried this with women who were not-WHOEVER the women are-it is RAPE!!

Point is- he was posing as a police officer! This was done on Patterson Ave by a guy who the lady took his license plate # and in the westend by the one who used to be an officer.
For anyone who thinks it is ok because the female was a prostitute- the other two were not- one was a policewoman.
It is NOT ok to RAPE ANYONE. These are women who take the “officers” word for it- PRETENDING to be one is a GROSS BETRAYAL and a very easy way to take advantage of women in the WORST way!!Throw the book at these creeps and set an example of them so other perverts will not feel free to do the same!!!

This is why the case in Henrico was so wrongly handled by the commonwealths attorney and judge.

These people are dangerous or is it the good old boys think the poor female victims had it coming to them?

When will our judicial system get their act together and start doing their constitutional job?

This article should not be about the VICTIM. These postings should not be about the VICTIM. What we have here is another preditor posing as a police officer to accommodate criminal behavior. What we have is another example of the (CRIMINALS’ JUSTICE SYSTEM) accomidating certain select people, muliple opportunities to terrorize innocent citizens. Why? Is one actually to believe this was this rapist first or even second time taking advantage of the most vulnerable? Most ‘WORKING GIRLS” don’t report crimes against themselves! I’m sure this creep was fully aware of this. Two wrongs do not make a right.

I hope there are no back room deals to keep him on the street ostensibly to keep an eye on things for the authorities! I can’t wait to see how much of his sentence will be reduced, suspended, or dismissed!!! What ever happened to “WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL”! Seems to be only more HOLLOW RHETORIC. I hope I’m proven wrong this time!!!

That shouldn’t matter and I don’t think any victim reports a rape for pity they report it because its a crime and he could rape ANY woman.

Also I never said she did it for pity.  But she’s reporting a crime that was committed against her, while she was committing a crime.  Don’t you see the irony?  I dunno.  Again I don’t want to make a huge deal out of this.  Rape is a terrible thing and shouldn’t go unpunished.

Where in the story did it say she was a prostitute? Are you drawing conclusions because of the areas?

Read through the article again.

From the article:

“Quick is accused of picking up a prostitute in the 8900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway after identifying himself as a police officer and then raping her, police said.

The victim apparently came forward after publicity about Quick’s Nov. 7 arrest in Henrico.“
