The VCU Medical Center and the Medical Reserve Corps will demonstrate the Stabilization and Treatment in Place unit from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Student Commons courtyard, 907 Floyd Ave.

At noon, an emergency simulation and demonstration of a field hospital will take place with the Medical Reserve Corps, which includes volunteers from medical and public-health professions.

The STIP unit is a mobile emergency tent that is equipped for rapid, on-site patient treatment, which includes minor surgery.
