What I find interesting is doctors and other health professionals tell the public that the vaccine needs to first go to PREGNANT WOMEN and children UNDER THE AGE OF 2.  Yet, while standing in line this morning (in 40 degree weather) with my 17 month old daughter, we were unable to get the vaccine.  That’s because we were behind middle aged men and women with no apparent health issues.  The best was when the 50 year old woman said she was pregnant and got the vaccine immediately.  Oh well, at least the health department got all the vaccines before the pediatrician offices.

I was under the impression that Henrico was not receiving an allotment of the vaccine since school clinics have been canceled.  I thought schools were the ones at risk. . . not the general public!
