A candlelight vigil will be held tomorrow evening for Javis J. Turner, 20, who was fatally stabbed last week.

The vigil will begin at 6 p.m. at North Third and East Broad streets, said Alicia Rasin, founder of Citizens Against Crime.

Turner was stabbed Thursday during what police described as a confrontation outside the Foot Locker store in the 300 block of East Broad Street.

Turner ran around the corner and collapsed in the 200 block of East Marshall Street. He was pronounced dead at VCU Medical Center.

Police have charged Desean Q. Trent, 27, with murder.
