Ellwood’s Coffee shop opens Wednesday.
The Carytown shop is across the parking lot from parent company Ellwood Thompson’s Local Market at Ellwood Avenue and Thompson Street.
The shop will carry fair-trade coffee, bought directly from farmers, from Counter Culture Coffee.
It also will serve local teas; local, organic and gluten-free beer; and local, organic and biodynamic wines.
The shop also will carry vegetarian and vegan pastries, desserts and entrees.
Beyond food and coffee, Ellwood’s Coffee will host art shows, open mike nights and live music as well as classes on environmental and health topics.
