My mother smoked cigarettes for 60 years with pleasure and enjoyment, while still acknowledging the health risks. She died at age 79, from congestive heart failure. Never once did she blame any tobacco manufacturer. She exhibited much pride of having a daughter employed with Philip Morris, and commended the company for their generosities and support that has been given to the charities here and abroad. I can remember her repeatedly saying, cigarettes are a legal product, a choice.
