A newborn boy was found naked and abandoned on the front lawn of a home in eastern Henrico County last night.

Police said the discovery was made around 8:50 p.m. by a woman walking by who saw the unclothed infant in the grass in the 4400 block of Samara Drive.

Henrico police Lt. H.C. Smith II said the child was taken to a nearby hospital and late last night appeared to be in good health.

The investigation is continuing. Police ask anyone with information to call Henrico police at 501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.

Some people just throw away babies when others can’t conceive and struggle to have them. HOW COULD ANYONE HARM A CHILD OR JUST LEAVE THEM, HE COULD HAVE DIED. IF THEY DIDN’T WANT THE CHILD THEY COULD HAVE TAKEN HIM TO A HOSPITAL AND SIGNED OVER THEIR RIGHTS!!!!!!!! I HOPE THEY ROT IN JAIL…......
