Richmond police seek bike-riding robber
Richmond police are seeking a man they said used a bicycle to get away after an armed robbery of a convenience store.
Capt. Paul Kiniry said the suspect robbed the FasMart in the 1200 block of Westover Hills Boulevard last night.
After getting cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes, the robber -- wearing a mask and gloves -- ran from the store, hopped on a bicycle and pedaled from the scene, Kiniry said.
There were no injuries.
Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.

Although there are some that will say we only want a description because we want to blame the event on one race or the other, I believe a description can only help. Someone may have seen someone riding a bike nearby and may even know who the person ridding was. By not giving a description, I suspect the police already know (or have a good idea) who the person is but do not want to scare him off while they work toward obtaining a warrant. I for one do hope that they at least have an idea, and arrest him soon.
How about a description of the robber or at least, the bike? Jeez! How on earth is anyone supposed to be of any assistance with such a vague story?
A grade school newspaper could do better than this garbage.
Sssh! Don’t tell.
Don’t lottery tickets have serial numbers on them?
Details pleeez - Time? Description? Come on T/D at least the basics!
