Man wounded in South Side shooting
Richmond police are investigating a shooting early yesterday in the Broad Rock area of South Richmond.
A male was taken to VCU Medical Center after the shooting to be treated for injuries that Capt. Harvey Powers said were not life-threatening.
Powers said the shooting occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 3300 block of Woodys Lane, just west of Thomas C. Boushall Middle School.
The circumstances that led up to the shooting were under investigation, Powers said.
"The detectives are just sorting out what happened," he said.
