Whitcomb Court community center fire investigated

Richmond authorities are investigating a fire that damaged a community center in the city's East End last night.

The fire was reported shortly after 10 p.m. at the community center for the Whitcomb Court public-housing project in the 2300 block of Carmine Street.

Damage was minor and there were no injuries, but authorities said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
