Police provided the following account:
At 2:40 a.m. police were called to a home in the 100 block of Conjurers Drive, where five people reported that they were in a garage at the rear of the residence when three robbers entered and demanded money.
Two of the robbers displayed firearms. The victims were tied up and robbed of their wallets. During the hour-long robbery, the victims said, they were assaulted by one of the assailants.
Before the robbery, a witness saw a suspicious vehicle in the area and provided a description to police.
At 2:47 a.m., police received a call of shots being fired in the 200 block of Biltmore Drive. Upon arrival, police were told by the resident that he was awakened by noises outside his home.
The resident looked outside and saw two people near his vehicle. The resident left his home with a handgun and was surprised by a male crouched next to his porch. The resident fired shots into the air, causing the three people to run in the direction of Homestead Drive.
Officers located a vehicle parked in front of a residence in the 200 block of Homestead Drive matching the description of the vehicle seen before the robbery on Conjurers Drive. During surveillance, a man exited the home and was confronted by officers. The suspect, who matched the description of one of the Conjurers Drive robbers, had a firearm. The suspect was taken into custody. Some time later, a second man was seen leaving the residence and was arrested.
Police obtained a search warrant for the Homestead Drive home. A third suspect surrendered to police. The Chesterfield County Police Department tactical team assisted with the arrest of the third suspect and execution of the search warrant.
