Man accused of trying to get prostitution refund

Richmond police say a man who engaged the services of a prostitute resorted to force to get his money back because he was dissatisfied.

Harold B. Mason Jr., 31, of the 6900 block of Marlowe Road was charged yesterday with grand larceny.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of McDonough Street in South Richmond shortly before 2 a.m. to investigate what was originally reported as a robbery.

According to police, a woman who is a known prostitute told officers that a man had paid her for sex but complained afterward that she did not satisfy him.

The man demanded a refund, and when she refused, an argument escalated to where the man forcibly grabbed her purse to retrieve his money, police said.

The prostitute was shaken but uninjured, police said.

Because she was considered a crime victim, the prostitute was not charged.

A preliminary hearing for Mason has been scheduled for Oct. 22 in Richmond General District Court.

This story is ridiculous!-a “known” prostitute is robbed after a “customer”-john is dissatisfied?? She is lucky in the Bainbridge area- which has been dangerous for decades- she is not dead! The police are going to do what? put her on the No. 1 priority list?? Fully dressed women in ALL AREAS get raped and killed daily and never caught just going to work or coming home. She was “shaken but uninjured? She should be “shakened” and “scared” putting herself in danger with what all the NUTS knowing no one would be exactly shocked when something happens to her.

She didn’t get busted because she wasn’t caught breaking the law. Last time I checked possession of self with intent to distribute isn’t a crime in Virginia…yet

Harold Mason believes that a quarterback is a refund. Mr. Mason is apparently living below the poverty line. Only a cheapskate would seek extra curricular services in the Bainbridge area.

He should do his shopping at Wal-Mart if he wants hassle free refunds.

He should have gotten at least half back as he wasn’t happy.

Oh yes, if his name was published as the john why wasn’t the one who preformed the act, took the money and is known in that profession, where is that persons name??

Huh?? She, if it was a she, is as quilty as the john is!!

Is there a guarantee of “Satisfaction or Your Money Back?“  He’ll be lucky if he didn’t get more than that for which he paid.  User discretion advised.

He needs to register a complaint with the Better Business Bureau!

It seems as though Mr. Mason failed to read the TOS.
