Police arrest woman in Henrico robbery

Henrico County police arrested a Highland Springs woman Sunday in the armed robbery of a Patterson Avenue convenience store.

Fulgencio Maria Freeman, 41, was taken into custody near Interstate 64 and Nine Mile Road shortly after the 7:20 p.m. robbery at The Market Place 13 in the 8900 block of Patterson Avenue Sunday.

Freeman, of the 500 block of Mullens Lane in Highland Springs, was charged with possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, felony abduction and armed robbery. She was being held without bond yesterday.

Police said no one was injured in the robbery and that an undetermined amount of money was taken.

Police credited a citizen with assisting in the apprehension. -- Bill McKelway
