A convenience store on Hull Street in South Richmond was robbed last night as it was closing for the day.

No injuries were reported in the robbery, which occurred at 10:05 p.m. at the Jack Rabbit convenience store in the 3400 block of Hull Street.

The victim told police he was leaving the store when two men confronted him, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the two suspects ran.

Richmond police Capt. David L. Martin said a tracking dog was brought to the scene but lost a scent after a few blocks, leading police to believe the robbers got in a vehicle and drove from the area.

Martin said the victim was unable to provide a detailed description of the suspects.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers anonymously at (804) 780-1000.
