Police are investigating a shooting this morning in South Richmond that left one man seriously injured.

Capt. Will Smith said the victim, who was shot near the base of the skull, was taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Smith said officers received a call at 3:05 a.m. for a man down in a rooming house in the 2200 block of Dinwiddie Avenue, just east of Jefferson Davis Highway.

Smith said it was uncertain whether the victim, a 32-year-old man who was found by his roommates, had been shot at the house or somewhere else.

Police were working to establish a motive and suspect information, Smith said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.

Perhaps he was being facetious.

Free Adam Baumann? That’s a terrible comment. Free someone who bludgeoned his parents to death with a sledgehammer? Yeah, that’s so cool.

“had been shot at the house or somewhere else.“..What? Does it really need to be said that if he wasn’t shot at the house than he was shot somewhere else?

I come in agreement with your prayer. You are truly a bless individual to pray for this individual; instead of making negative comments. God bless you and what God has for that young man is just for him. We know that He is a healer and a redeemer. Have a wonderful day.
