Three men were shot in separate incidents in Richmond last night, but all are expected to recover.

The most serious shooting occurred shortly before 10 p.m. in the 600 block of Westover Hills Boulevard in South Richmond. The man was shot in the upper body near Somerset Glen Apartments. He was taken to VCU Medical Center in critical condition, but his status improved overnight and his wounds no longer are considered life-threatening, said Police Capt. Harvey Powers.

The other two men were shot in the arm. The first shooting occurred just before 11 a.m. during what appeared to be an attempted robbery in the 4300 block of Commerce Road. The second occurred about midnight in the 3000 block of West Cary Street as the man was leaving the Carytown shopping district, but the victim provided little information about how it happened, Powers said.

Police are investigating all three shootings.

Please read my comment before responding:

WELL~DARN…...... so sad. They are going to kill off each other like there is no tomorrow.

The reason I said that is because this is just what it is people are killing each other off….

1.Plus the fact that one victim provided little information about how it happened. He probably plans to handle his own dirty work rather let the police do their job…

2.And all of those areas are in the high crime market areas.

3. Everybody that is shot is not always a victim or innocent.

So this is why I say they are killing each other off. I never once said I was glad or that it was a good thing for them to do so…...

WHAT?!
Unless I’ve completely missed something or misread what Glen Allen and Tomeka are trying to say….
This article is about the people (presumably INNOCENT) who were shot. One was apparently an attempted robbery…who knows what the others were.
But…to talk about “them killing each other off” doesn’t make much sense to me—the only people being “patched up” are VICTIMS, victims who (based on the material in this article) did nothing wrong.
I can’t wrap my head around your statement “the faster they kill each other off, the better off the world will be.“ The only people getting shot are presumably INNOCENT…the criminals are unharmed. So, that makes a better world?

Living in Carytown is starting to get downright dangerous! (shakes head) 8 years ago when I moved into the neighborhood, the most you had to worry about was someone breaking into your car. Now? Pack heat.
