A Richmond man was shot to death yesterday during what police believe was an argument.

Richmond police spokesman James Mercante identified the man as Paul Brown, 32. Mercante said police were called to a shooting at Autoplus, at 10 Westover Hills Blvd., where Brown was believed to have been an employee, about 5:30 p.m.

Brown was found shot in a side lot next to the business. "He was pronounced dead at the scene," which was near Midlothian Turnpike, Mercante said.

"It's believed that Mr. Brown is an employee of Autoplus . . . it's further believed that the motive is an argument of some kind," Mercante said. "The investigation is continuing and anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers, at 780-1000," he said.
