J.R. Tucker High School's former head football coach, accused in Henrico County of sexual involvement with two students, appeared briefly in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court today.

Former teacher and coach William Macgregor "Mac" Leighton initially was charged with five felonies stemming from charges that he solicited sexually explicit pictures from two students and took indecent liberties while in a custodial relationship with them. Two of the five charges -- solicitation charges -- were withdrawn. He still faces three indecent liberties charges.

Officials said the students were 15 and 17 at the time of the alleged incidents, which occurred between August and January.

A trial date was set for Nov. 17 in Henrico Circuit Court. If convicted, Leighton faces one to five years in prison on each of the three charges.

Leighton, 31, is out on $50,000 bail.

Okay, when is the RTD going to drop the “Ex-Tucker Coach” moniker in this ongoing (old) story, hmm?  You’re obviously still playing to the crowd out there in Deep Run land.  This is tired and worn out.  How about “Ex-Henrico County” coach?  You can stop the smearing of J.R. Tucker - didn’t all the uppity folks get their way anyway in the re-districting?  Go Tigers!!

This man is obviously insecure about his masculinity, this is why he and people like him, go for the young, inexperienced ladies. The women his age are way out of his league. Making an example out of him will do no good, he is sick with a disease for which there is no cure, he needs to be taken out of society permanently. Obviously someone told on him and he got caught, the next time he may decide not to leave any living evidence behind.

I will wait to see which tier of” WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” this judgement comes from! Need a clue anyone; the VCU cop case seems appropriate. But my mantra is and will remain, innocent until PROVEN guilty.
