Chesterfield County police are searching for a man they believe robbed two SunTrust bank branches, one on Saturday and the other this morning.
“We believe it’s the same person based on the earlier release (from Saturday’s incident) and photos,” said Ann Reid, police spokeswoman.
At a branch at 1348 Sycamore Square at 9:20 a.m. today, a man approached a teller, gave a note demanding money, then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. He did not show a weapon and no one was injured, according to a news release.
The suspect was a white male with a hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a knit hat with lettering or an emblem on the back.
On Saturday at about the same time, a man robbed a SunTrust bank at 13001 Hull Street Road. In the same manner, he gave the teller a note, showed no weapon, and left on foot.
