Henrico repairs, reopens vandalized Three Lakes Park

Henrico County reopened Three Lakes Park this morning after repairing damage by vandals who defaced the property with racist and anti-Semitic graffiti.
Most of the cleanup was finished by yesterday evening but workers had to reutrn this morning for some final touchup at the park in north Henrico.

Time somebody called hoagie out for his anti-American prattle. Number one, aryan nation is a known terrorist group operating inside the US. Their sloppily spray painted name was displayed on all three networks so they got a little free advertising for their recruiting efforts. Number two: speaker Pelosi called out swastika-carrying protesters for what they were-swastika-bearers. Didn’t you see the signs? You claimed you were amongst them.
For you to dismiss blatant recruitment efforts of a known hate group of terrorists as the work of children on a prank, influenced by congress (they were watching c-span instead of Saturday morning cartoons?) is inane.
Three parks were hit at substantial cost to three localities. Looks like a conspiracy to me: Chesterfield/Richmond/Henrico. The FBI has been making inroads into home-grown terrorists: here is their chance to shine. I hope they make some arrests soon before the next advertising effort.

The people who did this do not need to go to jail. They need to be put on a clean up crew and go around the whole city making it look better. Why send them to jail to lay around?

Anti-Semitism has been relatively quiet for decades in America except for a swastika here, swastika there. Mostly pranks by kids.
We have not heard the term “swastika” recently until Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi accused all Americans who oppose the Democrats reckless spending of carrying “swastikas”.
And we haven’t seen anti-semetic hate for Israel here in the states on a grand scale until Obama sided with international Jew-hating terrorists who want to kill all Jews.
So you can’t blame it entirely on kids for emulating what they see on TV.
I think I have a fair compromise for you all.
Weekend Jail time - Weekday hard labor, including cleaning graffiti, picking up litter, and whatever else needs to be done to clean up parks. Ankle monitoring to make sure they stay on house arrest.
I agree we should have zero tolerance for this behavior.
I also agree that comparing this to the 1st grader in Delaware is irrelevant.
drhoagie - comparing what these people did to the park and the 8 year old is really irrelevant. How do we know their kids? Could be teenagers who obviously know what they’re doing. Yes, I say jail but hard labor would be more a fit punishment. If we take it easy on them now what will happen in the future when they decide to take it further and not just deface a park? Plus who says kids don’t know what they’re doing? 5 kids between the ages of 13-15 years old set another 15 year old on fire because he owed one of them $40 for a video game, I wouldn’t take a chance on letting them back out into society. Your tax dollars went to cleaning up the park so you still think that they should get off easy?
There is no minimizing the domestic terrorist aspect of these hate crimes with a sanctimonious oh, prolly kids: boys will be boys. Go ahead and wiki aryan nation if there is any doubt of the evil afoot. This is no harmless prank, and it is costing the public parks money they can’t spare for the cleanup.
Heck yes prison for the park vandals. Third park in as many weeks with the same terrorist/racist theme? Not just a simple case of random defacing.
The six year old with the cub scout knife getting sentenced (not serving: don’t lie)to 45 days on top of a suspension is akin to making grandma walk across dirty carpet in her stockings, through a metal detector, only to make her pay a fine for her shampoo bottle. This perpetuates the FEAR without handling the crime. MO of the Bush justice department.
Prison bound for vandalism?
They are probably kids. Kids who obviously need to be punished in the form of fines and community service.
Prison for that type of crime is akin to the case in Delaware where the 6 year old was sent to a reform school for 45 days for bringing a Cub Scout pocket spoon to school.
Let’s rationalize before we get emotional.
I hope they catch the criminals that did this. Three Lakes is a beautiful park and does not deserve to be vandalized by a anyone much less a group of haters. I hope it never happens again and that people will appreciate this park.
The vandals are recorded on security cameras according to local TV news. Hope they catch these punks—they’re prison bound.
Zero tolerance for this form of expression.
