VMI lists graduates from Richmond

Several Richmonders are among the 249 Virginia Military Institute cadets who graduated May 16. They are:

  • Thomas D. Gottwald, bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

  • Bryce A. Carter, bachelor of science degree in civil engineering

  • Mark E. Gliebe, bachelor of arts degree in economics/business; graduating honors include Army commission.

  • Richard B. Gammon, bachelor of arts degree in psychology with a minor in history.

  • Jose G. Andueza III, bachelor of arts degree in international studies and modern languages and cultures; graduating honors include with distinction.

  • Kenneth B. Luxhoj, bachelor of arts degree in international studies with a minor in science and security and modern languages-Spanish; graduating honors include with distinction.

  • Michael P. McGann, a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering.

  • Joshua N. Anderson, bachelor of arts degree in history; graduating honors include Navy/Marine Corps commission.

  • Matthew J. Glomb, bachelor of science degree in chemistry; graduating honors include with distinction and Air Force commission.

  • Alexa C. Tarbona, bachelor of arts degree in English.

Located in Lexington, VMI, which has an enrollment of more than 1,300 cadets, is the nation's oldest state-supported military college.
