Board approves names for new Henrico schools
New schools in
Henrico namedHenrico County's newest schools are under construction. Now they have names.
On a unanimous vote, the School Board approved Glen Allen High School as the name of the school on Staples Mill Road. Inside the school will be the Col. Leslie T. Sheppard Sr. Memorial Auditorium, named for a former Henrico police chief.
Off Nuckols Road will be Holman Middle School , named after the family whose farm encompassed land in that area. Both schools will open in 2010.
