VCU names finalists for dean of business school
Virginia Commonwealth University has named six finalists for dean of its Business School, including the interim dean and the retiring president of Disneyland Resort.
The finalists, who will be on campus for interviews and meetings with students and faculty during the next month, are:
- David Urban, a VCU marketing professor who is serving as interim dean of the School of Business;
- Robert Morgan, professor of marketing at the University of Alabama School of Business;
- Rodney Rogers, dean of Bowling Green State University College of Business Administration;
- Timothy Sugrue, dean of Clarkson University School of Business;
- Prabir Bagchi, senior associate dean of George Washington University School of Business; and
- Ed Grier, president of Disneyland Resort, including the park and resort facilities in California. Grier announced Monday that he will retire tomorrow after 28 years with Disney.
Urban was named interim dean in June, replacing Michael Sesnowitz, who retired but remains a VCU professor.
The University of Richmond and Virginia State University also are searching for business deans, but neither school has named finalists.
