Alexandria man dies in Fairfax crash

An Alexandria man has become Virginia's third traffic fatality of 2009.

Joshua S. Buker, 21, was killed yesterday when a car he was riding in struck a tree and a utility pole in Fairfax County, Virginia State Police said.

The car was traveling east on Fleet Drive near Yadkin Court when the driver lost control. Buker, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car, police said.

The three fatalities compare with four at the same time in 2008.
