A weekend crash killed a 16-year-old girl in Prince William County, Virginia State Police said.

Alyssa Leighann Beach of Nokesville was driving west on state Route 215, one-tenth of a mile east of state Route 655, at 11:09 p.m. Saturday when the car ran off the left side of the road into a ditch, police said.

The car vaulted forward and upward and struck several trees before coming to rest in a grassy field. Beach died the next day at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church. She was wearing a seat belt, police said.
