Accident ties up traffic on I-95 in Richmond

A single vehicle accident on Interstate 95 near The Boulevard exit in Richmond has traffic backed up on the highway this morning. A Virginia State Police staff person said the accident involved a single vehicle that slid off the road, and that there were no serious injuries. The northbound right lane is closed.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said motorists can expect major delays due to the accident. Traffic was backed up approximately two miles as of 11:41 a.m., VDOT reported.
