Charge placed in I-95 crash, backup

Virginia State Police charged a Georgia truck driver with reckless driving this evening after a collision backed up Interstate 95 traffic for five miles.

Jimmy Womack Sr., 50, was charged after a 4:30 p.m. wreck near mile marker 58 at Colonial Heights that stalled southbound traffic for four hours.

State police Sgt. Thomas Molnar said a man identified as William Edgar Bruce Sr. was injured in the incident and taken to Southside Regional Hospital.

Traffic flow returned to normal about 8:30 p.m.
