$54 million suit over lost pair of pants resurfaces
WASHINGTON -- A former District of Columbia judge who unsuccessfully sued his dry cleaners for $54 million over a lost pair of pants isn't giving up.
Roy Pearson has filed a petition with the D.C. Court of Appeals, requesting the case be reheard -- this time by a nine-judge panel.
Pearson claimed Custom Cleaners failed to live up to its promise of "Satisfaction Guaranteed."
Three appellate judges agreed last month that Pearson failed to show the store's advertising amounted to fraud and said his argument defied logic.
In asking for a hearing before the entire court, Pearson argues the three-judge panel failed to address all the issues in his appeal.

Kudos, the judicial system needs more humor. Wait…this isn’t the gag reel beat is it? Yeah, on with the flogging
I wonder what kind of satisfaction he wanted the dry cleaner to perform in his pants? What did need with a pair of pants for anyway, isn’t that why they wear the big bathrobes?
My apologies… missed the “former” word in the article. Last I heard he was still serving on the bench. Thank God no one has to appear in front of this moron anymore.
If there is any judge currently serving in the US who is an example of the need for impeachment, this clown is him.
Oh for God sakes, would somebody please buy this poor moron a pair of pants
In my opinion, this case needs to be tried in TV court like judge Judy or Mathis, so people get entertainment and taxpayers money on court system be saved!!!!!!!!!!!!
what a dummy, charge him for the cost of court. we don’t need people like him around. SHOT HIM!
..and this guy was a former judge?! What other idiots are deciding our fate day to day?
This SoB should be taken out behind the barn and flogged. He is an idiot and a bigger disgrace to DC than Marion Barry.
