WICHITA, Kansas — The man accused of shooting a Kansas abortion provider has confessed to the killing to The Associated Press, saying he has no regrets.
In a telephone call from jail Monday, Scott Roeder told the AP: “Because of the fact pre-born children’s lives were in imminent danger, this was the action I chose.“
The 51-year-old Kansas City man is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the May 31 shooting of Dr. George Tiller at the abortion provider’s Wichita church.
Tiller had been the target of protests for most of the 36 years that he performed abortions at his Wichita clinic, where he practiced as one of few U.S. providers of late-term abortions.

Psycho. But he should not be put to death, merely placed in a cell for the rest of his life. Not much difference between him and the Sniper.
correction not “most” conservatives I meant to say “some” conservatives identify themselves as atheist or agnostic

you do not have to be religious to be against abortion. Take the conservatives for example most of them are atheist or agnostic. If you are referring towards Christians for example Jesus commands His diciples to love their enemies not kill them. People who misspercieve scripture are otherwise in my opinion not devout appropriately. Please don’t be so quick to judge that every psychotic individual who makes the choice to commit murder is identified as “religious”.
Let women decide for themselves. This killer was another religious crazy trying to impose his silly views on a doctor in the most extreme and deranged way. It’s shameful that religious types can’t keep their far-out notions to themselves…
Scott will pay for his crime just like every other premeditated murderer. Then he will burn in Dante’s Inferno, right next to John Allen Muhammad.
By no means am I saying that murder was the answer, but what that guy was doing was just sick and wrong in so many ways. Abortion is not something I personally believe in, but who am I to say what someone can or cannot do with their body. But how someone can carry a child into their 3rd trimester and then just decide to abort it is beyond me. I understand that his argument was that he did it for the well being of the mothers, but that is still your child. I had a complicated pregnancy and was given the option to abort my child due to everything that was going on, but I refused. I stuck it out through thick and thin and nearly lost my life giving birth, but I gave it everything I could. The world is a better place without this man.
