George W. Bush watching postseason baseball—in Japan
Published: November 3, 2009
TOKYO -- Former President George W. Bush threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3 of the Japan Series between the Yomiuri Giants and Nippon Ham Fighters.
Bush, wearing a Yomiuri warmup jacket, took the mound today at Tokyo Dome and threw a pitch to Giants catcher Shinnosuke Abe that bounced once in the dirt before being caught.
Bush chatted briefly with several players after walking off the field and watched the game in a private box with former Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi. Also in the box were Japanese home run king Sadaharu Oh and U.S. Ambassador John Roos.
The Giants won the game 7-4 to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, Japan's version of the World Series.

Nobody said that George Bush wasn’t the kind of guy it’d be cool to play a game of ball or share a cool Coors 16 ouncer with. Let’s just say that there appears to be no correlation between baseball and political ability, historically speaking. I’d just as soon keep the two separate anyway.
We all know President Bush threw out the first pitch at the World Series game at Yankee Stadium a month after 9/11/01 as a tattered flag recovered from the rubble of the fallen WTC.
And threw a strike as 60,000 chanted USA USA.
And Obama tried to do the same thing at the All Star game this past summer.
Let’s compare:
I’m sure if whichever team The Great Leader is rooting for loses, he will just blame it on the previous administration.
To my Japanese friends:
YOU CAN HAVE HIM.
Just don’t blame us when he does his usual.
