Obama hanging out with Spider-Man
-- Barack Obama often gets treated like Superman, but he apparently hangs with Spider-Man.
Marvel Comics announced that issue No. 583 of "The Amazing Spider-Man" will hit the stands Wednesday with two covers, one of them a special Inauguration Day edition that shows the wall-crawler with the president-elect.
Marvel Comics executives said it was a natural to put the 44th president in a heroic context.
"When we heard that President-elect Obama is a collector of Spider-Man comics, we knew that these two historic figures had to meet in our comics' Marvel Universe," editor in chief Joe Quesada said.
There's plenty of presidential history in the comics, such as John F. Kennedy's appearance in the pages of "Superman" and Richard Nixon's cameos in "The Fantastic Four" and "The Incredible Hulk." -- Los Angeles Times

So is Obama going to be the villain?
I see yet another scandal brewing. No female superhero? What’s wrong with the Hulk or Batman? Actually, the real scandal is this is considered news. Obama stands up at a news conference yesterday and gets a standing ovation before he says ‘hello’ for crying out loud. I hope, for the sake of the country, that he and his administration can live up to expectations the media is creating. Based on actually listening to what he is saying rather than worshipping him I am not holding my breath.
What a total pandering crock of crap!
