McCain not ready to support Palin in 2012

» 24 Comments | Post a Comment

WASHINGTON — Sen. John McCain isn’t committing to supporting his vice presidential pick, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, if she runs for president in 2012.
McCain — the GOP’s presidential nominee last year — says he wants to see who the other candidates are and what the situation might be.
The Arizona senator elevated Palin to the national stage with his surprise pick. He says he has great affection for Palin and her family. But he also cites three other governors — Utah’s John Huntsman, Louisiana’s Bobby Jindal and Minnesota’s Tim Pawlenty as potential candidates.
McCain appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Yeah I can’t believe Obama invaded another country on baseless assertions. And made torture acceptable and systemic!

I’m sorry, but I’m so sick of all these 90’s talk radio paradigms. Washington insider/outsider? Please. I’ll judge my pols on their views. Jimmy Carter was the ultimate outsider, and we know how a lot of you guys like him.

I’m sick of the “He went to an ivy league school therefore he stinks” mentality. Aren’t Columbia or Harvard pretty good schools? Is it really all media bias? How many scholars are coming out of U Idaho?

People who fell for the “Palin is an outsider just like us!“ are just as naiive as that change-heads that got behind Obama. Stop voting like 16 year olds, think like rational adults.

lovin,

McCain may be a Republican, but he is no conservative. Most folks I know, myself included, voted for McCain BECAUSE he picked Palin, we couldn’t stomach him otherwise. We are sick and tired of the DC illumiti (on both sides of the aisle) that have trashed this country and the Constitution for their own personal gain.

As for Obama staying in office for 8 years, it’s not likely. Every day he reveals just how much of an empty shirt he really is. He has screwed up more since January 20, than George Bush did in 8 years. By next election, if not next summer, his approval numbers will be so far in the tank that the DNC will be looking for someone else to run in 2012.

“ I fully support kicking Cynthia Snow,Specter, and the guy from Vermont out of the party, even if it gives the Dimokrats a majority for now.“

I’m with Laura Bush. I support a literacy campaign. But I’m amused by the notion that there’s any Republican left in Vermont to kick out.

Partisanship aside, here’s a question for you guys:

What is the obligation of a news outlet to lack “bias”? Certainly not every viewpoint should be debated as if it were valid? Does a large following make a viewpoint valid?

The media isn’t liberal or conservative. It’s corporate.

They dont care who has the better argument. They just want the argument. Arguments sell.

I do agree about Kucinich on the one side (maybe Paul on the other), but you can ask anyone in their own party and they’ll tell you that those guys are “fringe elements.“

Harry Reid, Eric Cantor, Nancy Pelosi, and Tom Delay are all the same exact thing representing the same exact interests. They put on their costumes like they’re professional wrestlers and fight about gay marriage and other meaningless wedge issues.

So this is an article about Rebulicans it can be commented on.  An article about more employment benefits is cut off after just a few comments because the Democratic governor will take a beating if it is allowed to continue.  Freedom of the press over rides freedom of speach in this paper, Thank you RTD staff.

BTW, googled “media”.... no sign of liberal.

Let’s ask Phil Donahue about the “liberal media”. Or Bill Maher.

BTW, the media outlet that spread the smear about Palin not knowing Africa was a continent? IT was Fox News, those liberal do-badders.

Harry Reid voted for the Iraq War. Voted for the Iraq War. Read it again: He voted for the Iraq War. He’s no liberal.

Pelosi kept backing the war up with funding and wouldn’t impeach or do anything against Bush. That’s why Sheehan was running against her. She’s no liberal, except when it comes to money pushing issues.

Kucinich, Feingeld, Bernie Saunders are liberals. Progressives. The real deal.

As for Obama, you are right, he doesn’t have the most experience. But we aren’t voting based on experience. (If we were, wouldn’t Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd be the front runners?)

In actuality there is no single, objective criterion for voting on a president. I will admit Obama received favorable treatment in the media. (Although, I don’t recall any Jeremiah Wright’s or the weathermen-esque smears on the McCain side).

Economically, Mccain was “wearing no clothes”, in that he tried playing the free marketeer card but at the same time he voted for TARP.

As for the teleprompter thing, get off it. So corny an insult.

Oh the “liberal media” is out to destroy our country’s values. Could it possibly be that McCain didn’t want to back a losing pony. Face it she is not qualified and most of America recognizes this. Look out Greta James et all.. There’s a liberal stealing pies from your windowsills
