Election 2009: Chicago Style

» 3 Comments | Post a Comment

Although The Washington Post endorsed Creigh Deeds for governor last Sunday, yesterday's editions did not report happy news for the Democratic nominee. According to a Page One story, White House insiders already are blaming the Deeds operation for what they see as an inevitable defeat.

The goal is to shift blame from the Obama administration to the Deeds team, which, the high-hat schemers assert, did not follow advice from the Obama apparatus or, for that matter, from Tim Kaine, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee who moonlights as governor of Virginia. The unnamed sources cowered behind anonymity.

Washington is a nasty place, made worse in this instance by a dash of politics Chicago-style. Deeds deserves better than this.

another idiotic post from the hogieman; Conservatives hate the fact that a black Democratic is in office, have been full of irrational hate for Obama since he took office—for no reason—and hogieman is trying to blame the prez for not uniting the nation!! What a laugh. Should we blame Obama for the fact that wingnuts hate him? The hogieman thinks so. Oh, my.

Obama was touted by the adoring press as The Great Uniter.
Yet it seems everyone who tries to get close to him gets thrown under the bus, inculding his grandmother, a “typical white woman”.
In gangland Chicago, those close to the boss often met an untimely fate.
And we all know what happened to those who made the gangland boss’s enemies list.
