The Absentee Guv

Virginia Republicans have been having a grand ol' time poking fun at Gov. Tim Kaine's peregrinations. The other day the party sent out a blistering press release:

"Barely 24 hours after releasing the dismal report that disclosed that he had missed budget projections in Virginia by another $1.5 billion, Kaine today participated in a town hall meeting held by President Obama -- by telephone from New Jersey, where he was also campaigning for struggling incumbent Governor Jon Corzine."

A cheap shot? Hardly. Modern communications make it easy for a traveler to stay connected, but when Kaine is moonlighting as chairman of the Democratic National Committee -- which he does about 30 percent of the workweek, on average -- he isn't attending to his gubernatorial duties.

"It's not an easy time to be governor," Kaine said back in May.

Apparently, when the going gets tough, the tough get outta town.

A liberal Obamabot governor NOT in Virginia to reek havoc on our Commonwealth.  Let me be the first to invite Mr Kaine to stay away from Virginia even more.
If he ships back his dirty laundry I will even wash it, fold it and send it back to him, where ever he is.

Memo to Guvenor Tim: “It’s not an easy time to be governor?“ You’ve certainly got it rough! Those Virginia chief executives during 1860-1890, 1929-1945, or 1970-1980 were loafing compared to the Herculean tasks you are facing!

What kind of cheese would you like with the whine?
