KEEZLETOWN -- Police are looking for the driver of a dump truck involved in a hit-and-run crash with a Rockingham County school bus that injured 11 students.

Virginia State Police say the dump truck veered in front of the bus yesterday and then sideswiped it after the bus driver swerved to avoid a collision. The bus ran off the road and hit a tree.

State police 1st Sgt. Bryan Hutcheson says the dump truck's driver didn't stop.

The accident occurred around 3:15 p.m. north of Keezletown as the bus was making a run from Cub Run Elementary School to Montevideo Middle School.

Superintendent Carol Fenn says at least 11 of the 65 students on the bus suffered minor injuries. All were treated and released from a local hospital.

Considering how slow both move, wouldn’t this be a “Hit, and Crawl to a snails pace”?
