Kaine takes his cabinet to Southwest Va.
Published: June 5, 2009
WISE -- Gov. Timothy M. Kaine and his staff are hitting the road again.
Kaine, his cabinet and members of his senior staff are conducting their 14th Community Cabinet Day today. The governor is holding four meetings a year, visiting eight regions of the state twice over the course of the administration.
Today, Kaine will tour Mountain Rose Vineyards in Wise, visit the Virginia Employment Commission office in Norton and attend a program put on by the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park in Big Stone Gap.
Kaine also will tour the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics for Lifelong Initiatives for Education Governor's Career and Technical Academy in Castlewood. Attendance at the Virginia Mining Association's Governor's Cup Mine Rescue Safety Contest in Cedar Bluff also is planned.

Good. Maybe they will find an abandoned mineshaft for him to go with his empty ideas. How’s that stimulus working out for you?
There are some long-term accomodations (Red Onion Mountain or Keene Mountain) in which Kaine should take up residence, considering the criminal mishandling of the state’s budget that he is responsible for.
Although I didn’t vote for Kaine I give him credit for understanding that Virginia is more than the area surrounding DC.
I don’t believe that Terry McAuliffe understands the needs of all of Virginia. He is a product of DC politics and assumes that No. Va will bring him victory. Maybe in a national election, but not when it comes to being elected Governor.
