LURAY -- The United States Mint is planning a Shenandoah National Park quarter.

The agency says it will issue the coin in 2014. The Shenandoah design will be the 22nd featured on coins issued as part of the agency's America the Beautiful Quarters Program.

Under the program, the agency is issuing 56 quarters depicting national parks or other national sites in each state, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories.

Shenandoah National Park was established in 1926.
