CHARLOTTESVILLE -- Police are hoping a timeline of when and where a Virginia Tech student was last seen will help jog the memory of someone who can provide a key clue to her whereabouts.

Authorities believe Morgan Dana Harrington, 20, was last seen at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 17 on a bridge in Charlottesville, Virginia State Police Lt. Joe Rader said today.

Harrington had gone to the University of Virginia for a Metallica concert, but left the arena and was denied re-entry under arena policy.

Rader says witnesses saw someone matching Harrington's description around the outside of the arena from about 8:30 until 9 p.m. She then was seen walking across two parking areas, one of which is near the bridge.

what a frigging nightmare for the parents….
Man, I hate reading this kind of stuff. It is awful that a young person or anyone can not go to a concert w/o some nonsense like this.

the purse and cell phone, minus the battery, were found between the parking lots and an adjacent sports field or field.

But, is it true they found her purse in the parking lot of the arena?

I thought it was found in the parking lot of a nearby motel.  Maybe I’m mixing up news reports.
