NEWPORT NEWS — The manager of a Newport News store faces charges after $340,000 worth of clothing that police say is counterfeit was seized.

Newport News Police Department spokeswoman Holly McPherson says 36-year-old Hyun Nam Kim of Yorktown is charged with infringement, a felony. Kim was being held Monday at the city jail.

McPherson says police also seized two vans and more than $8,400 cash during last week’s raid at Kelly Fashion inside Peddler’s Village.

It was the third counterfeit clothing investigation in Newport News in the past two years.
