LYNCHBURG — A former Liberty University administrator accused of burglary is facing a new charge.

Lynchburg Police Department Capt. Brandon Zuidema says 43-year-old Scott Alan Ray was charged Monday with breaking and entering. The new charge stems from a break-in on Aug. 20 at a house in Lynchburg.

Ray was indicted earlier this month on four counts of statutory burglary involving four homes in Campbell County and one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug.

He is being held without bond in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

Ray formerly was director of convocations at Liberty. During a hearing on the earlier charges, the Lynchburg man said his last day of work was Sept. 4.
