Two shot dead outside Pittsylvania County market

GRETNA—Two people are dead following a shooting this afternoon at the G&S Market in Gretna, according to Lt. Corey Webb of the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

Webb said both victims were outside the market at the time of the shooting, which occurred shortly after 2:15 p.m.

Pittsylvania County Sheriff Mike Taylor said the bodies of one man and one woman were found behind the market.

Law enforcement officials remain on scene investigating.
