UPDATE: Judge orders psychiatric exam of neo-Nazi leader

ROANOKE—A federal judge has ordered a psychiatric examination of an avowed white supremacist charged with threatening several people before deciding whether to release him on bond.

U.S. District Judge James Turk stopped a hearing Tuesday on the prosecution’s appeal of an order allowing bond for William A. White to order the examination. Results are due Friday.

Turk says if a psychiatrist determines White is not a danger to the community, he will allow his release.

White, the head of a Roanoke-based neo-Nazi group, is charged with threatening a newspaper columnist, a mayor and several others over the Internet and by telephone.

He has been in jail since October, when he was charged with threatening a Chicago jury foreman. That charge has been dismissed.

( dc ) I think in this country that is for a judge and jury to decide. (remember innocent until proven guilty.) Are you the judge and are you the jury? I think not just someone willing to spew out insults about something you know nothing about. Don’t be so quick to judge and maybe you will not be judged quickly.

I’m sorry oneuser. Did I terrorize you? Did I terrorize Jews or Christians or blacks or gays?

Let’s see. This guy threatens (terrorizes) several people. Are you okay with that?

Terrorists to Guantanimo!

dc,  Maybe the government should send you to Guantanamo Bay. Ignorance such as yours should not be in print. So do you intend to send everyone who thinks differently than you to Guantanamo Bay. Guess that would make you the racist.

They ought to send his behind to Guantanimo Bay because he is nothing more than a terrorist.

Yeah, seriously, let him out.  The conservatives need all the spokesmen they can get.

As one who lived for first 33 years of my life in Soviet Union I can testify that his views in line with views of socialists/communists. Which in my opinion, is dangerously close to views some of democrats.

“Yeah, seriously, let him out.  The conservatives need all the spokesmen they can get.“

This guys views hardly qualify his as a conservative.  In fact his views are more in line with the new world socialist order our president is trying to establish within our constitutionally protected government.

Let him out. There will soon be a job or two available for him in South Carolina.

If the charge against the jury foreman has been dismissed then why still hold him and why not have bond? Sounds like prosecutor is being discriminatory and should be investigated.
