Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling is planning a free inaugural party in Richmond two days before he is sworn in again as lieutenant governor.

Bolling said the party will be by invitation only. He is inviting key political supporters to the soiree Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Science Museum of Virginia. Bolling said he will solicit sponsorships to defray costs of the party. Any surplus will be turned over to charity.

The inauguration is Jan. 16.

Bolling also will co-host, with Gov.-elect Bob McDonnell, a re-enactment of Patrick Henry's famed "Give me liberty, or give me death" speech at St. John's Church on Jan. 15 at 2 p.m.

Attorney General-elect Ken Cuccinelli will hold inaugural events in Fairfax County, his home base, and in Richmond.

The Fairfax event will take place Jan. 14 at George Mason University. In Richmond, supporters will party at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on Jan. 15. Cuccinelli said costs of the parties will be donated to The Daily Planet in Richmond.
