VIDEO: Jeff Schapiro goes nuclear

The legislative intent of the moratorium was to place uranium mining under laws separate from coal mining. Obviously coal mining has not been occupationally safe nor environmentaly friendly.
So the question is how high does the bar need to be raised to mine the nation’s largest reserve of uranium?
Why do a study, when we already know that its safer than mining coal?  The proposed uranium mine is not a lot different than the granite mined in quarries throughout the Commonwealth.
