A Canadian who was shot several times during the terrorist attacks in Mumbai faces additional surgery.
Michael Rudder was among a 25-person pilgrimage from a Virginia spiritual center when he was shot three times during the attacks Wednesday night. Two from the group were killed and three others were wounded.
A spokeswoman for the Synchronicity Foundation sanctuary, about 15 miles southwest of Charlottesville, said yesterday that Rudder, a Montreal stage actor, will likely be transported to Singapore in several weeks to have a bullet removed from his abdomen.
Spokeswoman Bobbie Garvey says she has talked to the wife of Alan Scherr, who was killed with the couple's teenage daughter, Naomi, during the attack Wednesday on the Oberoi Hotel. She declined to share her conversations with Kia Scherr.
She added that members of the pilgrimage are working to return home.
