MOSCOW — Israel’s foreign minister says his country does not intend to bomb Iran.
Avigdor Lieberman is also telling reporters that other countries in the region and around the world should be concerned about Iran’s nuclear program.
But he says those countries should not expect Israel to solve this problem for them.
He said Wednesday: “We do not intend to bomb Iran, and nobody will solve their problems with our hands.“
He also warned that, should Iran acquire nuclear weapons, it would spark a regional arms race and threaten the entire world.
Lieberman spoke in Moscow at the end of a three-day visit that included meetings with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and others.
